Mango
I haven’t gone away completely. Working away on a new book project that I will tell you about soon. Scanning drawings, as in an old sketch of mango. Thinking about orchards, living in Big Sur, a blue bowl on my table. Much to do about memory, about making, creating, finding my rhythm in the kitchen, on paper, in paint.

Go Nani go!! Keep growing and stretching those artistic muscles. Glad to hear there’s a new book on the horizon. I’m plugging away in this beautiful new landscape near Yosemite where John works as a ranger. Think I’ve found an outfit to publish my book, whenever I feel ready, called Outskirts Press. Need to save money for that time. Will also be taking some “plein air” watercolor classes in the Park here. My hidden passion is coming to the surface. Reading John Muir’s letters. What a mystic, and writer! What a man! period.
Thinking of you.
Lovely, lovely mango. And yes, please more projects, more of your words and ideas on a page!
Hello Romney,
I’ve been thinking about you as I continue to cook my way through your book. Although I haven’t chosen a favorite yet? Did you paint the beautiful mangos?
hi Nani- great Mangoes. I snuck in and changed my blog : the new name and site is “likethelemon.com”- i closed down the other–just posted peas – shelled 11 pounds of fresh peas with the Berry’s yesterday- come visit – lots of lettuce growing here in the fog!
Thank you all..for the encouragement. Life is a bit of a swirl (and when is it not? I’m thinking)..summer is here, beautiful food is in the market, and all I want to do is live on the beach, cook, eat, write, and play with family and friends. Thinking of you..
