May Day Book Signing

Sunset magazine called it a valentine to one of the most beautiful places to eat in the world. Epicurious named it one of the best cookbooks of 2009. And Michael Pollan hailed it as “special book about a special place.”
I hope you’ll agree, and join me today for a My Nepenthe book signing at the delightful Nathan & Co on Piedmont Ave. in Oakland.
Drop by for a slice of Meyer Lemon Tart and other spring refreshments, from noon to 3pm, today–Saturday, May 1st.

all the good press is well-deserved. the book is amazing. so happy for your success.
I’m reviving my old sour dough starter after weeks of being on the road. After legion warnings that leaving it so long (weeks? months?) without feedings would be the death of it, what delight to see . . . Quelle surpise! The bubbles are bubbling! The yeast is alive, feeding on fresh water, flour, honey, oxygenated, and raring to go! I’m so happy. Sigh. So much travel, so little time to bake . . . but I am determined to start this starter up again, and bake into loaves for our next venture to Sour Dough country – San Francisco! I’ll have a warm slice for you if you come by Saturday. Live Worms Gallery, 1345 Grant Street Friday-Sunday 2pm to 10pm each day. art and sour dough bread. What a combo. Add in friends and family and you’ve got a lovely weekend. xoxo Erin
At first, this marvelous image got my attention…secondly, I have seen this book somewhere, but I do not recall where… and now I am at its writer’s blog… this is something!! I will pick into it -if I can from amazon- and then will be shipped over the ocean, passed the alps and a little bit on the east and south, will land onto my country… Happy for You!!! All the best!!!
The book is amazing, thought I’d check in to see how its going. Looks like things are busy in a good way. Happy for you!
life and new work is coming along-thanks for checkin in, all of you. Love the idea of the book traveling across the ocean, much fun, and how it should be-finding a new life/home in some far off wonderful place. Eleni-please let me know if you receive the book-I can send you a signed book plate. Thank you OysterCulture for being a constant reader and to Erin and Lisa for your comments. Yum, on that sourdough bread.
