My Nepenthe: The Thrill of It

The launch party at Nepenthe this past Saturday was a standout–absolutely glorious! I couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous, sunny day–all bright skies and glittering sea–with Big Sur’s finest on deck for the gala. I am in awe of the support from my coastal family and Nepenthe friends in attendance. Thank you all for making it the spectacular day that it was, giving my book such a magical send off into the world, and proving yet again, that the spirit of Nepenthe and my grandparents’ legacy is alive and well.
I felt so honored, so wonderfully feted and cared for, and appreciate the kind wishes and love that came my way. I’m sorry I couldn’t talk to everyone individually, but know that each of you mattered and I’m so grateful that you came. For all who bought my book–and some of you, multiple copies–thank you from the bottom of my heart! And if you didn’t–it’s not too late. Signed copies of My Nepenthe are available through the Phoenix Shop.
I also want to send a shout out publicly to my sister Sara Rowe (below right) who divined the exquisite flower displays and fabric table runner to match my book, and for putting so much of her heart and soul into this day. As well to Sara, my beautiful daughter Nicoya, my cousin Holly, and little niece Chama for yet again, mesmerizing the crowd with the gift of dance. It was stunning, and so perfectly fitting! Thank you also to Nepenthe for hosting the party and to the restaurant and Phoenix staff for all their support and help in pulling it off.
