Studio News: Kaffe Fassett
Just sending a quick shout out that My Nepenthe was noted in the summer newsletter sent from the Kaffe Fassett Studio of London, England. Kaffe Fassett is my maternal uncle. Born in SF and raised in Big Sur, he has spent the better part of 40 years living and working in London. Kaffe’s passion for all things color and prolific outpouring of creativity and art making has had a great influence on me and my own path as a writer, cook, and artist. Here are a few photos of him during a Nepenthe photo shoot:

Studio with a view: If you are interested in Kaffe’s life and work, you can now link to a video about him on his website, produced by a Denmark TV crew. It’s a rare look into his studio, his life, and the fantastic world in which he is immersed.
Brandon Mably, studio manager for Kaffe, is a knitter and designer in his own right and his work can also be viewed at Kaffe’s website as well as on his own. Look for Kaffe and Brandon’s new line of fabrics, some early prints of which I used in my book.
