Quaff, oh Quaff this Kind Nepenthe

“Quaff, oh Quaff, this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost Lenore” (Edgar Allen Poe).

Nepenthe’s big day is almost here–make plans to play hooky from school, from work, from your tax payment woes, and come forget your worldly cares on the terrace of Nepenthe overlooking the sea. Nepenthe turns 60 on April 24th with a great many festivities planned for the day including music, a dance band, bellydance and firedance performances, a poetry reading and more. The restaurant will serve some old time recipes such as a Crab Louis salad and the famed 50s cocktail, Moscow Mule, made with ginger beer, as well as Nepenthe classics and house favorites, the Ambrosia Burger, Golden Plumes (shoestring fries), and Lolly’s Roast Chicken with Sage Stuffing. Bring your friends, family, and your own Nepenthe stories to share around the outdoor fire pit. Check out the flyer under my Events page. I hope you can make it.
